Front. In. Behind. Here. Now.
"Front. In. Behind. Here. Now." is a performance from the "Temporality of the Impossible" series.
This performance will combine pieces dealing with the physical - ‘outer’ - aspects of the performance and embodied experiencing the sound. Traversing back and forth the visual perception of the sound over visualising the sound to sounding the visual to find the line between inner and outer blurred. The “Front. In. Behind. Here. Now.” aims to follow the journey and relationship of an object of sounding and a sound maker as it happens in the one specific space-time momentum. The program will feature, among others, pieces for solo violin by Buccino, Cassidy, Hyytiäinen, Iannotta, and Saunders.
The "Front. In. Behind. Here. Now." concept will be performed on two occasions during season 2019/2020, in Huddersfield and Brussels. Due to the types of venue, there is a small variation in program for each of the two performances.
Featured works will include two pieces commissioned and written for Dejana and the "Temporality of the Imposisble" research, one by Dario Buccino (Finalmente il tempo è intero nº 16, 2019) and the second by Miika Hyytiäinen (Impossibilities, 2019/2020), as well as pieces by Aaron Cassidy ("the green is where"), Clara Iannotta (dead wasps in a jam-jar (I), 2014-15), Liza Lim (The Su Song Star Map, 2018), Rebecca Saunders (Hauch, 2018/2019), and Lucio Tasca (An Imperfect Circle, 2019).
