Temporality of the Impossible research and PhD theses successfully defended

Following the July 2023 submission of the final PhD theses and after successfully defending it on 6 December 2023, firstly the official certificate arrived, followed by the official ceremony graduation. It's been quite a ride and work and time-space (physical and mental) poured into this research, but, ultimately, it's been a fun ride and a labour of love. And one that will continue. The full thesis is now also available via University of Huddersfield's Pure Repository: https://pure.hud.ac.uk/en/studentTheses/temporality-of-the-impossible.

I remain eternally grateful and carry on a deep sense of privilege to have had quite a few amazing humans be there for some or all of it (not only my supervisors, composers, fellow performers, friends, and family, but also strangers who recognised this body of work and made some of the research related performances possible). And a special thank you to the CeReNeM and Huddersfield University for the substantial fee waiver, as otherwise none of this would have been possible.

Along the process and research, there were lots of scores studied+played (some of which were on the cd, released by NMC / Huddersfield Contemporary Records in February 2022) and things read and thoughts thought and conversations had... knowledge collected and shared... A very, very special, heartfelt shoutout to Philip Thomas, Aaron Cassidy, and Mary Bellamy for all their support and guidance along the way! It was also quite a privileged that, all along this adventure, i had the luck of continuously meeting so many interesting, uniquely-minded people and interlocutors within and beyond the CeReNeM community, all of whom i'm hoping i will get a chance to continue to cross paths with again and again, for conversations and/or making up new stuff together. Onwards...
